Heavy-Duty Boom Arm - An Attractive Solution without Brace

A new 1000mm Heavy Duty Boom Arm with an SWL of 50kg capable of taking the weight of a moving light has been launched by Doughty Engineering. This latest addition to the Boom Arm range is set to offer users an attractive and strong solution without the need for a brace.

The lighting boom arm is ideally fixed to aluminium truss pieces and standard scaffold poles, also known as lighting booms. Lanterns can be mounted on the horizontal boom arms to create sidelight or cross light across the stage.

"It has an SWL of 50kg which should more than suffice in the majority of situations while still looking good in its place" - Mark Chorley, Design Engineer at Doughty Engineering. Compared with the 25kg SWL of the standard 1000mm Doughty boom arm, the extra 25kg makes a big difference for event set-ups.
