SKEDCO - SKED Evac Tripod
The SKED-EVAC® Tripod can extend up to three meters high using the three anchors available for clipping in. Each of the anchors is red anodized for easy identification, and all are equally well centered to handle a load. The anchors, head, and legs are connected with stainless steel bolts to ensure maximum strength. The header limits the distance that the legs can spread.
Once fully extended, this tripod allows you to lift a patient completely out of a hole on a stretcher. It is designed for an NFPA rescue load. The tripod comes with a chain running through the legs to add more strength and stability.
The chain is not degraded by acids or chemicals like nylon straps or ropes. The legs are adjustable in increments of about 12.5 cm, and Skedco provides safe working load data for each tripod height on every tripod. Mounting brackets for the most common winches are available.
Disclaimer: Skedco strongly advises against attaching “direction change” rollers to the feet or legs of the Sked-Evac or any other tripod, as lateral pulling on unsecured tripod legs is dangerous and can cause injury or death.
