Yale Hydraulic Chain Cutter YCC
The Yale hydraulic chain cutter, model YCC-201, is designed for safe and quick cutting of high-tensile grade 10 chains up to a material diameter of 13 mm. The open design allows easy positioning of the chain. Max. cutting force 23 t, weight 37.4 kg. The cutting force is supplied by the built-in standard single-acting cylinder with spring return, model YS-23/50.
The return of the moveable blade is performed by the return spring of the hydraulic cylinder after relief of the hydraulic pressure. In combination with the PY-04/2/5/2 M the blade returns automatically.
Recommended pumps:
- Electric power pack: PY-04/2/5/2 M (recommended by Yale).
- Air-powered pump: PAY-6.
- Hand pump: HPS-2/0.7.
- Cordless pump: PYB.
*The chain cutter has two blades, a ‘fixed’ blade and a ‘moveable’ blade. Both through-hardened blades are identical in construction, can be re-sharpened and are easy to remove. A single replacement blade is available as part no. N13900008.
The unit is also equipped with a protection flap with acrylic glass pane that allows safe monitoring of the cutting process, an opening in the base plate through which chips and splinters fall out of the body, and a special chain support device for cutting larger chains. This allows perfect positioning of the chain link and leads to a much longer service life.
