1. Petzl OK Carabiner 

 

 

The lightweight Petzl OK carabiner is made of aluminum. It has an oval shape that allows for the optimal loading of devices with a wide cross-section, including pulleys, rope clamps, and mobile fall arresters. 

 

Its fluid interior design and keylock system facilitate handling. It's available in three locking systems. These are the automatic Triact-lock or the manual Screw-lock systems. 

 

The OK Carabiner can be connected to the CAPTIV positioning bar to support the positioning of the carabiner along the major axis, to limit the risk of it flipping and to keep it integrated with the device.

 

2. The Petzl WILLIAM Carabiner 

The WILLIAM asymmetrical large-capacity aluminum carabiner has a pear shape that is practical for effortlessly connecting multiple items.. 

 

The Petzl WILLIAM carabiner is available in two locking systems, each for different situations. These include the manual Screw-lock for occasional use and dirty environments. Its manual screw-lock with a red band provides a visual warning when the carabiner is unlocked. And, the automatic Ball-lock for frequent use with practical automatic locking; secure use with a triple-action opening.

 

3. Rock Exotica Pirate Auto-Lock Carabiner 

As an HMS or pear-shaped carabiner, the Rock Exotica Pirate Auto-Lock easily accommodates the use of a wide range of gear, webbing or ropes. The wide top radius allows munter hitch belay or the connection of multiple items. 

 

The Pirate's robust 0.5-inch diameter round frame will endure abuse from dirty ropes and metal connectors far beyond stamped carabiners with thin edges. 

 

It has a snag-resistant keylock nose design and a large and ergonomic angled gate opening with a machined frame that ensures tight tolerances and smooth operation. 

 

This 3-stage, auto-locking carabiner features a pull-down and twist action that is more intuitive and natural for your hand than lifting up and away from your palm. The auto-lock gate sleeve is designed with beveled edges to minimize the risk of dangerous cross-landing and provides a smoother interior for interaction with the materials connected to the carabiner.

 

4. Rock Exotica RockD Screw Gate Carabiner 

The RockO Screw-Lock Carabiner is a blend of the traditional oval and the RockD, giving it more strength than the standard oval. Its design is great if you need that extra room at the bottom of the carabiner while keeping your gear aligned. 

 

It features a screw gate and has a breaking strength of 26 KN. It's 105mm long with a 25.4mm gate opening.

 

5. The Rock Exotica RockO Screw-Lock Carabiner 

The RockO Screw-Lock Carabiner is also a blend of the conventional oval and the RockD giving it more strength than the standard oval. Its design is great if you need that extra room at the bottom of the carabiner while keeping your gear aligned. 

 

The enhanced oval form optimizes strength while maintaining the utility of an oval shape. It has a flattened frame with a slim profile and a snag-resistant keylock nose design. Furthermore, it has a large and ergonomic angled gate opening and CNC machined frame to ensure tight tolerances and smooth operation.

 

6. FA2 Screw Steel Karabiner 

The oval-shaped Screw Steel Karabiner features 110mm x 60mm dimensions with an 18mm opening and weighs 160g. It's made from galvanized steel material and has a static strength of 25 KN.

 

7. Rock Exotica Assault Stainless Steel Carabiner 

The Rock Exotica Assault Stainless Steel Carabiner with a screw-lock gate has a length of 112mm and a gate opening of 25mm. Not only is the hook's frame made out of stainless steel but also the components inside the hook. This ensures a longer service life. 

 

The Rock Exotica Assault has a breaking strength of 30 KN. It weighs 209 grams and complies with EN 362.

 

8. Ergo Design Carabiner

The black Ergo Design Carabiner features a 27mm opening and conforms to EN362.2004/B standard.

 

9. Twist Lock Carabiner 

The Twist Lock Carabiner also features a 24mm opening and conforms to EN362.2004/B standard.

 

10. Rock Exotica Pirate Screw Lock Carabiner 

As an HMS or pear-shaped, the Rock Exotica Pirate Screw Lock Carabiner easily accommodates the use of a wide range of gear, webbing, or ropes - either as a belay biner at the harness or as a connector in a system. 

 

Just like the Auto-Lock carabiner, the Pirate's robust 0.5-inch diameter round frame can endure abuse from dirty ropes and metal connectors far beyond stamped carabiners with thin edges. 

 

Two essential features make the Rock Exotica Screw-lock unique from the rest. First, all aluminum parts are anodized. It is especially vital for the screw sleeve and gate, since without this coating, it is more susceptible to corrosion. The protective surface also gives the sleeve a smoother spin. 

 

Secondly, the gate is designed with an enlarged flange at the top. It prevents the screw-sleeve from moving past the end of the gate, whereas with other designs, the sleeve can wear past the last thread of the gate and slip off.
