Girder Clamps

Girder clamps create secure suspension and rigging points directly on structural steel I-beams and H-beams, without drilling or welding into the steelwork. They're the standard solution for hanging truss, lighting bars or tube from existing structural steel in grid installations, TV studios, exhibition halls and permanent venue builds.

MTN Shop stocks the full Doughty range, including adjustable girder clamps, Lindapter flange clamps, girder brackets and Gravlock swivel couplers, covering flange widths from around 75mm up to 300mm. Whether you need an adjustable clamp to fit a range of beam sizes or a Gravlock coupler to attach 48mm tube directly to an I-beam flange, this range gives technical crews the structural attachment options needed for safe, drill-free rigging.

Lindapter Girder and Flange Clamps

The Doughty Lindapter Girder Clamp, rated to 500kg WLL, fits beams from 75-150mm or 150-300mm, giving the widest coverage in this range. For thinner steelwork, the Lindapter Flange Clamp handles flanges up to 23mm thick at 300kg WLL.

Adjustable Girder Clamps

The Doughty Adjustable Girder Clamp, rated to 250kg WLL, covers 100-150mm or 150-200mm beam ranges with an adjustable mechanism, useful where the exact beam width isn't known in advance or varies across an installation.

Girder Brackets

For lighter fixed-point rigging, the Doughty Girder Brackets (150kg WLL) and Multibeam Girder Brackets, designed to accept any Doughty pulley, both cover 75-150mm and 150-300mm beam ranges. The Girder Clamp - C/W End Bracket extends coverage further, with size options from 100-180mm up to 230-300mm. The Pressed Girder Bracket is a lighter-duty option, rated to 3kg WLL, suited to signage or very light fixtures rather than lifting or suspension use.

Gravlock Swivel Coupler

The Doughty Gravlock Swivel Coupler, sold per pair, connects standard 48mm tube directly to a Gravlock-compatible beam clamp, letting truss or tube be suspended from structural steel without an intermediate fitting.

Warranty and Load Ratings

All girder clamps and brackets sold by MTN Shop EU are genuine Doughty stock, sourced through official distribution, so full manufacturer warranty applies as it would from the brand directly. Every clamp is rated to a specific Working Load Limit (WLL) and beam flange width range, both of which should be checked against your structure before use, and the Pressed Girder Bracket's low 3kg rating means it should not be substituted for a lifting-rated clamp.

Choosing the Right Girder Clamp

Match the clamp to both the load you need to support and the width of the beam flange it has to grip, since a clamp rated for the correct capacity won't fit a beam outside its stated width range. Where the exact beam width varies or isn't known in advance, an adjustable clamp avoids needing multiple fixed-size clamps on hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

The terms are often used interchangeably, but on this site "beam clamp" typically refers to clamps used for suspending hoists, while girder clamps here cover fixed attachment points for truss, tube and lighter fixtures directly to structural steel flanges.
Check the stated flange width range for the specific model, such as 100-150mm or 150-200mm. An adjustable clamp covers a range rather than one fixed size, but it still won't fit flanges outside its stated range.
No, the Pressed Girder Bracket is rated to only 3kg WLL, suited to light fixtures or signage rather than lifting or structural suspension. Use a Lindapter or Adjustable Girder Clamp for higher-load applications.
It connects standard 48mm tube to a Gravlock-compatible beam clamp, allowing truss or tube to be suspended from structural steel without needing a separate intermediate fitting.
