Petzl: French engineering trusted since 1970
Petzl started in a cave in southeastern France, building lighting and rope equipment for cavers before expanding into climbing, industrial rope access and professional rescue. The company remains family owned, and that continuity shows in how the product ranges are built: components are designed to work as a system rather than as one-off items, so a Petzl harness, connector and descender from different product years will usually still fit together correctly.
