Half Couplers and Atom Clamps

Half couplers join two tubes or connect a fitting directly to a single tube, and Doughty's Atom Clamp range covers this in multiple diameters: the 25mm, 32mm, 35mm and 38mm Atom Half Couplers, each rated to 100kg WLL. For the standard 50mm scaffold tube size used across most truss and stage structures, the 50mm TÜV Tested Half Coupler steps up to 750kg WLL, with lighter Lightweight and Slimline variants available where weight or clearance matters more than maximum load.

Hook Clamps

Hook clamps mount fixtures directly to 48-51mm tube using a hook rather than a bolted connection, useful where fixtures need to be attached and removed quickly. The 50mm Hook Clamp (Medium Duty) covers general use at 100kg WLL, the Double Ended & 180° Twist version adds a rotating hook for awkward mounting angles, and the Compact Hook Clamp with M12 fixings increases capacity to 500kg WLL in a smaller footprint. For lighter fittings on 25-32mm tube, the 25mm and 32mm Atom Hook Clamps are the smaller-diameter equivalent.

Girder Clamps

Where a fitting needs to attach to a structural beam rather than a tube, the Lindapter Girder Clamp, rated to 500kg WLL, fits beam flanges from 75mm to 300mm depending on size, and the Lindapter Flange Clamp covers flanges up to 23mm thick at 300kg WLL.

Large Tube Clamps (Mammoth)

For heavier truss and tube sizes beyond standard 48-51mm, the Mammoth range steps up to 60-63mm diameter tube. The 60mm Mammoth Half Coupler is TÜV certified to 500kg WLL, with a Slimline version available at the same rating in a reduced footprint, and the Mammoth Swivel Coupler connects 60mm tube to standard 48mm tube where the two sizes need to meet.

Quick Trigger Clamps

A quick trigger clamp closes with a spring-loaded lever instead of a bolt, speeding up fit-up and strike on touring rigs where clamps go on and off repeatedly. The Titan Quick Trigger Clamp covers 48-80mm tube at 100kg WLL, the Slimline Quick Trigger Clamp covers the 38-51mm range in a lighter design, and the Baby Quick Trigger Clamp handles smaller 25-38mm tube. The AED Quick Trigger Clamp offers an alternative at 250kg WLL for buyers standardising on a different brand.

Swivel and Articulating Clamps

Where two tubes need to connect at a variable rather than fixed angle, the 48mm Swivel Coupler and 25-38mm Atom Clamp Swivel Coupler range rotate freely before being locked in position, and the Stabiliser Coupler with Pivot Plug adds articulation for one-off, non-standard angles that a fixed coupler can't accommodate.

Warranty and Load Ratings

All clamps and couplers sold by MTN Shop EU are genuine stock, sourced through official distribution, so full manufacturer warranty applies as it would from the brand directly. Many Doughty clamps and couplers in this collection are TÜV tested and certified, and every load-bearing component is rated to a specific Working Load Limit (WLL) that should never be exceeded.

Choosing the Right Clamp

Match the clamp to both the tube diameter and the WLL you need: standard truss and scaffold tube is 48-51mm, while Mammoth clamps step up to 60-63mm for heavier structures. Quick trigger clamps trade some WLL capacity for faster fit-up, so they suit touring rigs with frequent load-in and strike, while bolted half couplers and hook clamps suit semi-permanent or higher-load installations.

Preguntas frecuentes

A half coupler bolts onto the tube and is tightened with a spanner or Allen key, giving a more secure, semi-permanent connection. A quick trigger clamp closes with a spring-loaded lever, making it faster to fit and remove, which suits touring rigs where the same clamps go on and off repeatedly.
Mammoth clamps are sized for 60-63mm diameter tube, larger than the standard 48-51mm truss and scaffold tube that most half couplers and hook clamps are built for. Check your tube's actual diameter before ordering, since the two ranges aren't interchangeable.
A hook clamp attaches to tube using a hook, allowing a fixture to be hung and removed quickly without tools. A half coupler bolts directly onto the tube, giving a more rigid, semi-permanent connection than a hook-based fitting.
Girder clamps and beam clamps serve a similar purpose, attaching a rigging point to a structural beam without drilling, but sizing and load rating vary by model, so match the clamp to your beam's flange width and thickness as well as the load you need to support.
