Why does the WLL apply to the pair and not each individual coupler?
The Gravlock Swivel Coupler works by gripping a girder flange from both sides at once. One coupler alone can't hold the flange, so the 600kg rating only applies once both couplers are fitted together as supplied.
Can I mix a Gravlock Swivel Coupler with a standard Gravlock Coupler in the same pair?
No. Always use the couplers as supplied in matched pairs. Mixing swivel and fixed versions, or pairing with a different product, isn't how the connection was tested and rated.
What's the maximum girder flange thickness this coupler works with?
Up to 45mm. Measure your I-beam flange thickness before ordering, since a flange thicker than that won't seat correctly in the coupler.
