Konligo The Tent Backdrop

Give your Konligo The Tent a fully enclosed rear with the Backdrop accessory. Rather than an open back, this panel seals the structure completely, delivering a clean, finished look from every side and creating a dedicated surface at the rear for photos, signage, or branded messaging.

This listing is for the Backdrop only. The Tent structure and membrane are sold separately, available here.

Key Features

  • Seals off the rear opening of The Tent completely
  • Gives you a clean, dedicated surface for photo backdrops, signage, or branding
  • Offered in Black, White, Colored, or a fully Printed option with your own artwork
  • Made specifically for use with the Konligo The Tent structure

Important Note: Effect on Wind and Load Ratings

The Backdrop increases the surface area exposed to wind, which lowers the structure's safe working load and raises the ballast needed at each wind speed:

  • 0 km/h: capacity is unaffected, still 160kg total (20kg per hanging point)
  • 30 km/h: capacity drops to 110kg total (13kg per point), compared to 130kg without the Backdrop
  • 45 km/h: capacity drops to 30kg total (4kg per point), compared to 65kg without the Backdrop
  • 65 km/h: capacity is capped at 50kg total (6kg per point), versus 80kg without the Backdrop, and requires guy lines plus 620kg of ballast (or 250kg if guy lines are also fitted)
  • Above 65 km/h, the structure is not rated for use with the Backdrop fitted

Guy lines are mandatory once wind exceeds 45 km/h, regardless of hanging load. And once total load passes 80kg, or 10kg at any single point, an extra 150kg of ballast is required on top of the standard figures.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does fitting the Backdrop cut into the tent's load capacity?
Only at 0 km/h does capacity stay the same at 160kg. From there the gap widens quickly: 110kg at 30 km/h against 130kg without it, and just 30kg at 45 km/h against 65kg without it. Size your rigging around the wind you'll realistically face on site, not the calm-weather number.
Is there a wind speed limit for using the Backdrop?
Yes, 65 km/h. At that point you'll need guy lines plus 620kg of ballast (or 250kg if guy lines are also fitted). Past 65 km/h, the structure isn't rated at all with the Backdrop attached, unlike the bare tent, which carries a rating up to 75 km/h.
Does the Backdrop mean extra ballast even in still air?
No. At 0 km/h, neither version needs ballast. The extra requirements only appear as wind speed climbs, and because the Backdrop catches more wind, those thresholds arrive sooner than on the structure alone.
Is the Backdrop the same product as the Front Banner?
No. They're separate accessories with separate jobs: the Backdrop closes off the rear of the structure, while the Front Banner faces forward for brand visibility. Each affects the tent's wind rating differently and is sold on its own.
