Lighting Stands and Lifts

For freestanding lighting positions without overhead rigging, the Doughty Club Stand, available up to 4.75m, is a budget-friendly tripod option popular on club and touring circuits, while the Easy Lift Wind Up Stand (30kg WLL) raises heavier fixtures without manual lifting. The Doughty Low Lifts come in four lengths from 135mm to 675mm for smaller height adjustments where a full stand isn't needed.

Tank Traps for Lighting Booms

A tank trap is a freestanding base for a lighting boom or upright, used wherever a fixed rigging point isn't available. The Doughty Tank Trap / Lighting Boom Base comes as a fixed base, or with 2 wheels or 4 castors for repositioning between setups, and the 3 Position Tank Trap adds a 50mm receiver with three mounting positions. Moving a tank trap between locations is easier with the Tank Trap Dolly, built specifically to transport the base without lifting it manually.

Floor Plates and Wall Brackets

Where a fixture needs anchoring to a solid surface rather than a freestanding base, wall brackets and floor plates provide a fixed mounting point. The Doughty Wall Brackets for Concerts & Stages come in light or heavy duty, and the Pipe to Wall Brackets extend a fitting out from the wall by 100mm or 300mm. For floor mounting, the Parcan Floor Plate and Turtle Plate both accept standard hook clamp or 29mm receiver fittings, giving a low-profile base for uplighting or floor-mounted fixtures.

Arms, Headers and Booms

For positioning multiple fixtures from a single support point, the Doughty Junior Arms & Headers and Baby Arms & Headers come as offset arms, double or triple headers, letting one stand or boom support several lights at different angles. A tank trap or lighting stand suits situations where there's no overhead rigging point available, while wall brackets, floor plates and grid hangers are the better choice wherever a fixed structure exists to mount to, since they generally offer a higher WLL for the same footprint. Match arms and headers to how many fixtures you need from a single point, rather than adding a second stand where a multi-header would do the job.
