Why do I need three of these for one wire rope loop?
A single grip can't reliably hold a loop under load. Using three, spaced correctly along the tail end of the rope, distributes the grip force so the loop doesn't slip when tensioned.
What's the difference between the DIN 741 and DIN 1142 variants at the same wire size?
Both are wire rope grip standards, but they define slightly different clamp designs and testing requirements. Check which standard your project spec or venue requires before ordering, since they're not always interchangeable within the same installation.
Why don't these grips have a WLL if they're used to secure wire rope?
