In the case of 15,000mm fabric, if you put a square tube with inner dimensions of 1-inch over a piece of fabric, you could fill it with water to a height of 15,000mm before water would begin to leak through. Generally speaking, a rating of 15,000mm can withstand moderate rain and average snow.

Breathability :

This is the amount of water vapour(gram) that can pass through a square meter (m2) of the fabric from the inside to the outside in 24 hours. So, a 4000g/m2/24h rated construction winter jacket allows 4000 grams of water vapour to pass through. The higher the number, the greater the breathability.
